Emily Peterson, CAL Director
Emily brings several years of experience working specifically with L2 (alternatively, ESL or ELL) students on grammar, syntax, structure, and organization. As a graduate of Columbia, she also brings familiarity with assignment expectations across the spectrum of theological education genres. Her specialties include advanced composition of various theological genres (including assignments that involve work with biblical languages), L2, and study skills.
Emily has a BA in English from the College of William & Mary (Williamsburg, VA) and a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary.
Tuli Ghosh, Academic Coach (Multilingual Specialist)
Tuli comes to CTS after 28 years as a media studies and communication professor at Castleton University (Castleton, VT). Her experience teaching writing-intensive courses and her eight-year-long stint as a journalist have made her fond of reading for economy of words and concision. Her specialties include developing arguments, dialogic and dialectical reading of texts (useful for exegesis papers), multimedia projects (e.g., videos, podcasts, infographics), and helping L2 learners.
Tuli has a BA in English from the University of Delhi (New Delhi, India); an MA in English from the University of Delhi; an MA in Journalism from Ohio Statue University (Columbus, OH); and a PhD in Communication from Ohio State University.
