Presbyterian Study Grant

Deadline: May 15, 2019
MDiv students under care of a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) presbytery and attending a Presbyterian-related seminary should apply now for Presbyterian Study Grant. This is the denomination’s need-based aid program for students preparing for a career in ministry. Students will be considered for:

  • Presbyterian Study Grant, up to $6,000 based on need.

  • People of Color Supplemental Award, up to $2,000 for eligible PSG-Select students who have additional need after receiving a $6,000 award

  • Supplement Grant for students with high debt, up to $2,000 awarded to up to 10% of PSG-Select students for debt relief (this funding may be used to reduce the balance of an existing loan, rather than to increase the 2019-20 award.)

To start an application, visit www.pcusa.org/PSG/applynowcomplete the form, and email to finaid@pcusa.org.

Eligibility requirements: Students entering the 1st or 2nd year of seminary must be enrolled as Inquirers by their Presbytery no later than September 1 to be considered for award. Students entering 3rd year, or any subsequent year of seminary, must advance to Candidacy by November 1 to be considered for award.
