Oakhurst Presbyterian Church, Decatur, is a community of diversities. We come from different places, from different economic levels, from different countries of the world.  We are searching for a new senior pastor to help us fulfill the next part of our journey, to help us continue to build this community of diversities, while guiding the congregation in our interpretation and understanding of the Word of God.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of five years of ministry experience with excellent preaching as well as strong administration and staff management  (like everyone else) – but the most distinguishing quality we seek is real-life experience serving in a racially diverse community. More specifically, we seek a pastor who can articulate how the Gospel relates to experiences of race and racism in the US and who understands the history and experiences of black Americans.  More information about the position can be found here.
