Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in Decatur, GA is seeing a Global Missions Intern to:

1. Provide administrative support for Global Missions but not limited to the following: .Assist with event registration and promotion, Provide customer service, Written and verbal correspondence, Generate and maintain reports and files, Assist with processing applications, Prepare and distribute training materials

2. Assist in database management (Raiser’s Edge)

3. Assist in updating website and social media

4. Travel to General Assembly and Global Missions events

Waddel Fellowship Intern

The Waddel Fellowship Intern located in Athens, GA works to support the Waddel Fellows and administrate the program. The intern is full time and lives in the apartment attached to the Presbyterian Student Center. Half of the intern’s hours go toward support of the Waddel Fellows and administration of the Waddel Fellowship program. The other half of the intern’s hours will be devoted to their own exploration of faith and vocation under the supervision of the Campus Minister.

Youth Ministry Intern

To lead, serve, mentor, build relationships and minister to youth in grades 6-12 at Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA. The Youth Ministry Intern will work closely with the Director of Youth and Program Ministries to plan, coordinate, and implement the youth program for the purpose of building the faith of our youth.

Seminary Residency/Year-Long Internship

Summary: The position has three integrated primary threads aligned with our vision statement:

Vocational Discipleship help people discern what Jesus is calling them to in the present season of life and discover what it means to fulfill that calling through experimentation, practice, and coaching so “it may be on earth as it is in heaven.”

Community Facilitation handle the logistics of time, place and event which convenes, encourages, equips and unleashes industry people to be in fruitful relationships with one another and with people in other communities outside of their day-to-day world. Serve as a catalyst for relationships that might not otherwise form between people of different generations, socio-economic status, language & ethnicity, churches, companies, non-profits and the like.

Industrial Chaplaincy be present and available to people in the tech and research industries they work in as a listening ear, compassionate presence and discerning counselor. This includes empathy through being present in-situation when possible, along with an awareness of the spiritual, emotional, and physical job-hazards that naturally come with each person’s role and industry to help people live present and rooted in their identity in Christ in the work place

Supervised Ministry

Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church is seeking a 10-15 hour a week intern for the Fall and Spring semesters focused on the following areas:

  •  Preaching and Worship Leadership: Interns will preach 4 times a year, serve as leaders in worship services, participate in worship planning, and assist with communion.

  • Teaching: Interns will have the opportunity to assist in teaching classes in a variety of capacities and based on area of interest.

  • Pastoral Care: Interns will assist the pastor, parish associate, and deacons in providing pastoral care to church members and the community.

  • Pastoral Identity: Interns will have many opportunities to engage with staff and lay leaders around the intern’s area of ministry that matches their learning goals.

The OPC community is deeply compassionate, embracing of creativity, and a rich place for students to nurture gifts for ministry. Membership is 137 and worship attendance is around 50-60.

Congregational Internship

The Summer Intern will direct Government Street Presbyterian Church’s summer ministry held at Baytreat. The Summer Intern will assist the Pastor of GSPC, as needed, while engaged in supervised ministry under guidelines established by the student’s seminary. The Full-year Seminary Intern will assist the Pastor of GSPC while engaged in supervised ministry under guidelines established by the student’s seminary.  In addition, the Intern will direct Government Street Presbyterian Church’s summer ministry held at Baytreat and provide staff support for Urban Ministries. Housing and stipend included.
