Coordinator of Community Engagement & Chaplain Resident

Westminster College, Fulton, MO, is seeking a Chaplain Resident who will serve as a member of the Center for Faith & Service staff, offering a ministry of pastoral care and spiritual support for students, faculty, and staff. In addition, they will oversee community engagement initiatives and other areas of focus determined in conversation with the Chaplain and Director of the Center for Faith & Service. The Chaplain Resident will also serve on the faculty, teaching at least two undergraduate courses during their tenure at Westminster. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to ethical service, a passion for mentoring and journeying with 18 to 22-year-old college students, and a deeply rooted commitment to spirituality. Because of the diversity of the Westminster campus, we seek someone with a welcoming, inclusive theological paradigm who thrives in an interfaith environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates an enthusiastic interest in exploring ministry within the context of higher education.

Rhodes College, Memphis, TN, is seeking a full time chaplain who fosters and enriches the religious and spiritual life of a diverse campus community. The Chaplain takes an active role in college-wide events and issues, including traditional ceremonies as well as special occasions for community reflection and action.  Provides pastoral care for students in regard to religious life, service commitments, church-related vocations, and personal development.  Serves as advisor to student organizations on issues of faith and service.  Leads and facilitates programs of worship, spiritual enrichment and interfaith dialogue for the campus community.  Represents the College in the ministry of Presbyterian Church (USA) and in the Memphis service community through preaching, public speaking and working in collaboration with church and community service agencies.

Army Reserve Chaplain

As a U.S. Army Reserve Chaplain, you can serve in a part-time status, potentially expanding the horizon of current ministry by attending monthly Battle Assemblies and Annual Training alongside of the Soldiers of your Reserve unit. You will receive Officer Pay, Health Insurance options, retirement benefits, and even the possibility of enrolling in the Chaplain Student Loan Repayment Program (reimburses up to one-third of student loan debt associated with a theological Master’s Degree). If you are less than 47 years old and possess a graduate level theological degree of at least 72 hours from an accredited seminary, with a minimum GPA of 2.5, you may qualify to begin the application process within 6 months of seminary graduation.
