Associate Minister/Pastor

The American Protestant Church (Bonn, Germany), an international and multi-denominational congregation, is searching for an ASSOCIATE MINISTER / PASTOR to start in the summer of 2019. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience. 

The primary focus of the position is the faith formation of children, youth and young adults. The secondary focus of the position is sharing with the Senior Pastor in pastoral responsibilities in the ministry areas of: pastoral care and prayer; worship leadership and preaching; home groups; adult education programs and fellowship events, including the annual church retreat.

Associate Pastor

St. Mark Presbyterian Church in Ballwin, MO seeks an Associate Pastor who is able to inspire, motivate and lead our youth and relate to their families. It is important that the Associate Pastor be approachable, be an excellent communicator, possess a good sense of humor, and be an involved participant in church and community life. The Associate Pastor should be relational - generating conversation and facilitating communication to build trust, help people arrive at consensus, and motivate congregants to follow through on projects and ideas. We seek someone with the ability to relate to youth, children, and their families. It is especially important that this individual be able to develop close relationships with the youth by providing Christian guidance, taking an interest in their passions, extending the ministry to their families, and connecting the youth with caring adults. Temporary Director of Children's and Youth Ministries

Central Presbyterian Church (Atlanta) is seeking a part-time Temporary Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries to coordinate, energize, and maintain our thriving ministry with young people.

This staff person will have the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee children’s Sunday school by coordinating Godly Play story schedule and supporting teachers with materials

  • Oversee children’s ministry programs such as the planning of Children’s Sabbath (February 3) with Sunday school teachers

  • Supervise and coordinate with our two Youth Ministry Coordinators, who are part-time seminary students. The Youth Ministry Coordinators teach youth  Sunday school and are responsible for Sunday night youth fellowship.

  • Continue and oversee confirmation in 2019, which includes two one-night retreats, supporting confirmation sponsors, and coordinating confirmation Sunday in May

  • With the youth committee, plan and support youth mission trips, fundraisers, youth Sunday, and fellowship activities

  • Communicate with the families of children and youth as needed

  • Work with the children’s and youth committees as needed

  • This position is supervised by the pastoral staff.

  • Applicants should have a four-year college degree, experience in Christian Education, and/or theological training.

The expected duration of this position is through the end of June 2019. At the end of that time, the position may be renewed, expanded, or re-evaluated under the leadership of a new head of staff. Applicants should send a resume to jobs@cpcatlanta.org.

Minister with Students and their Families

Boulevard Baptist Church, a CBF church in Anderson S.C., is seeking a full-time Minister to Students and Families. Students include children (1st through 5th grade) and youth (6th - 12th grade), with the primary focus on youth. This minister is responsible for helping students cultivate their relationship with Jesus Christ through missions and group and individual spiritual formation opportunities.
