Children & Youth Intern/Assistant

Help assist the Director of Children & Youth Ministries on Sunday mornings (SS, worship, & children's church) as well as Sunday afternoon youth group activities. The ideal candidate could be present at church from 9 a.m. – noon and 3:30-6:45 p.m. on Sundays. The candidate would plan and provide a children’s church during worship, only during the sermon. We also have various youth group activities and church events throughout the year. Pay is $15/hour.

Brief Job Description:

At Spiritual Health at Emory Healthcare (SHEH), we offer a unique and creative environment where trainees engage in diverse activities of spiritual care, education, and research. The educational aspect of the program is structured in small groups and individual supervision. Small group and individual sessions are led by ACPE Certified Educators. In these settings, clinical cases are shared and discussed utilizing the action/reflection/action format. The use of written accounts of the visits (verbatims) is a key tool in this type of reflective education. Trainees also receive opportunities for mentorship with staff chaplains assigned to the various units. We are offering a 2023 fall extended internship unit from September 6, 2023 - May 3, 2024 (34 weeks) at Emory Dekalb Operating Unit (Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory LTAC & Emory Hillandale), Emory University Hospital Midtown, and Winship Cancer Institute. We are waiving the tuition fee.

Congregational Ministry Part Time

Minister for Sunday 9:30 service , some pastoral care. We are a small congregation of about 45 members in need of a minister. We are a PCUSA church in the Western North Carolina Presbytery approximately 2 hours from Atlanta.

Our neighboring town of Cullowhee NC, home of Western Carolina University also has an opening for a UKirk position which could give the candidate a more full time position with our church and the UKirk opportunity. Our previous minister held both positions.

Job Description:

Fellowship of Love Church is anon-denominational church in Fayetteville, GA. We are looking for a summer intern and/or a fall intern. This is part-time and would involve helping with ministry to the whole church as well as children. Preferred for someone who is looking to complete their Supervised Ministry (SM) course credit.

Some of the responsibilities are below:

-Lead Children's worship Sundays 9am-10/10:30am

-Attend Tuesday Staff Meetings, 4-6pm (currently virtually)

-Attend Ministry meetings, last Thursdays of the month, 6-8pm

-Help with the planning and leading of the worship experience

-Meet with children and their families outside of church on occasion

Interim Director of Christian Formation

North Decatur Presbyterian Church (NDPC) is a growing, progressive, 350+ member church in the suburbs of metro-Atlanta with a robust volunteer base and a commitment to Christian formation. Parish Associate for Pastoral Care

Shallowford Presbyterian Church is seeking a part-time (20 hours) parish associate of congregational care who will be responsible for the oversight of pastoral care: serving as a staff resource to the Congregational Care committee, support groups, and lay Care Ministers. As a member of the pastoral staff team, the Parish Associate will make regular pastoral care visits and will assist with or lead funerals as needed. Compensation: $30,000 plus 50% of member-only medical benefits.
