The Youth Director serves as a member of the staff at the Wayne Presbyterian Church (WPC), an approximately 1200 member congregation located on the Main Line of Philadelphia, which has served the township of Wayne for over 150 years with a commitment to wor-ship, beautiful music, strong educational programs and a thriving youth program. The Youth Director works under the supervision of the Associate Pastor of Congregational Life to develop and sustain a program guided by our mission to provide a loving, accepting environment where teens come to know God’s love intimately through Jesus Christ, grow in their faith, experience Christian community, and are empowered to serve others. WPC has a thriving youth program that involves youth in worship through liturgy, leading prayer, and choir. The youth program has a long history of collaborating with other ministries within the church to bring families closer to God through service to the community and other mission projects. Vision for Role To provide care and minister to the youth of WPC from middle school through high school (grades 6–12). To support educational programming and counseling around mental health issues for youth and work with the Children’s Ministry at WPC to provide support to parents and families from baptism through high school graduation. This position offers the opportunities for guiding youth, personal growth, and being part of the newly constituted staff at Wayne Presbyterian. The Youth Director will also serve as a strategic architect for the long-term vision of Last Revision: 4/29/25 the youth ministry—building systems for sustainability, innovation, and spiritual growth. This includes collaborating with staff, volunteers, and families to align youth programming with the broader vision and mission.
