The Head of Staff is to provide pastoral leadership for the congregation, guiding them in the way of Jesus and encouraging them to live as joyful disciples. This leadership is marked by a collaborative servant spirit with a shepherd style, and is carried out with professional integrity.
Plan and preach engaging, inspiring Christ-centered sermons at least twice a month. Worship will be thoughtfully planned with the worship and music team.
Enthusiastically lead the church to fulfill our vision and mission, modeling ongoing spiritual development and embracing all our church’s endeavors to fulfill the Great Commission.
Provide congregational care, education, and spiritual direction to the hurting and seeking.
Approach this ministry as a collaborative effort with the Associate Pastors, elders, and staff, effectively delegate tasks, including monitoring the status of delegated responsibilities.
Serve as moderator of Session and presbyter to the Presbytery of the Cascades.
