This position serves as the full-time Associate Pastor for the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach, a multi-generational church located on the Treasure Coast of east central Florida. The Associate Pastor will have broadly defined skills which include, but are not limited to, preaching on average one Sunday per month, assisting with weekly Sunday worship services, administering the sacraments, teaching, leading talent committees, and providing pastoral care to members of the Congregation. In addition, the Associate Pastor will directly manage and oversee growing youth and young family ministries programs. Kirkwood United Church of Christ is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and nurturing Minister for Children, Youth, and Parents to lead and grow our ministry for children (birth-5th grade), youth (6th-12th grade), and their families. A successful Children and Family Minister will creatively and strategically develop and execute programs that foster Christian faith, fellowship, and service. The Associate Pastor will provide oversight and direction for an active intergenerational ministry as the means of faith formation for children, youth, and adults. This includes worship, education, service and fellowship as well as regular preaching, creative engagement with Word and Sacrament to promote the full inclusion of people of all ages and backgrounds, and opportunities to develop special worship services.
The Senior Pastor will serve as a key leadership figure at St. Philip's by collaborating closely with the current Rector and staff. The ideal candidate will continue to advance the church's core beliefs and vision and enhance life-transforming ministries during this time of transition by the Rector. They will have the ability to succeed the current Rector upon retirement.
The Senior Pastor will deliver regular sermons and oversee ministry staff, lead Adult Education initiatives, coordinate small groups, and contribute significantly to St. Philip's overall vision and direction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven experience in teaching and preaching God's Word with clarity and integrity, have a profound love for the Lord and others, while demonstrating leadership characterized by humility, kindness, strength, and passion.
